Tara Weber is a Southern California ceramic artist. She started her journey in clay at Ventura College where she completed her Associates of Art degree. She spent two years studying at SFSU. While there, she worked on campus teaching at the onsite preschool. There she helped develop an annual tile installation program introducing young artists to the love of ceramics. While attending school she also worked at Heath Ceramics. This California based company helped her learn the importance of local production and teamwork. As her family grew, she returned back to Ventura, CA where both of her children were born. While adjusting to being a young mother, she set up a full home studio for pottery. During this time she taught private lessons and began selling her art at local markets and internationally. She continued her education taking courses in business and ceramics at CSUCI. Her experiences inspired her to teach classes at local art centers. Her passions now include creating nature inspired art that has a soft and dreamy feel. It is so important for her to share pottery with her community and bring beauty into everyday life.
